Thermal stratification at high heights: For ceilings >7 meters, hot air rises and stagnates at the top. Requires installation of destratifiers (mixing fans) to bring the heat back down to the floor. Additional cost: €300 to €800 per destratifier.

Noise level: The fan generates 45 to 65 dB depending on models and rotation speed. Acceptable in an industrial environment but can be bothersome in offices or premises requiring quiet. Solution: opt for "silent" models with oversized fans running at low speed.

Electric operating cost: Electric air heaters become very expensive for large areas. Example: a 30 kW air heater operating 8h/day consumes 240 kWh/day = €48/day at €0.20/kWh. Over 5 winter months: €7,200. Recommendation: prioritize natural gas beyond 500 m².

More technical gas installation: Gas air heaters require gas connection compliant with standards, flue gas evacuation by balanced flue or chimney, commissioning by a qualified PGN/PGP professional. Higher initial investment (+30-40% vs electric) but economical operation in the long term.
