Electric Fan Heater
The professional electric air heater is the simplest heating solution for workshops, garages, and small warehouses. At Climatik, we assist French professionals in selecting electric air heaters for premises requiring clean heating, without smoke exhaust, and with immediate commissioning.
Our range includes electric air heaters from 3 to 30 kW in single-phase 230V and three-phase 400V, equipped with stainless steel sheathed elements. These hot air generators ensure completely clean and dry heat, ideal for sensitive premises or those that cannot be connected to gas.
Electric technology: simplicity and cleanliness
The electric air heater works with stainless steel sheathed elements heating the air propelled by a fan. No combustion, no exhaust necessary. Powers from 3 to 30 kW with an efficiency of 100% (all electricity becomes heat).
Major advantage: ultra-simple installation. Wall mounting or suspension, electrical connection, immediate commissioning. Installation investment: €200 to €400 versus €600 to €1,200 for a gas air heater. Rapid temperature rise: a 15 kW model heats 400 m³ from 5 to 8°C in 15-25 minutes.
Power and supply
Single-phase 230V: Powers 3 to 9 kW, connection to standard installation. Dedicated 16 to 40A circuit breaker. Suitable for small workshops, garages. Example: 6 kW air heater heats 150 to 200 m².
Three-phase 400V: Powers 9 to 30 kW. Requires three-phase installation, 16 to 63A circuit breaker. Covers medium workshops, small warehouses. Example: 18 kW heats 400-600 m², 30 kW covers 700-900 m².
Important limitation: A standard 36 kVA meter allows a maximum of 25-30 kW of heating. Beyond 500-700 m², gas air heaters become more relevant.
Comparison with gas air heater
Electric advantages: Simple installation without gas qualification. Reduced initial investment: €500 to €1,800 installed. Clean heat without combustion. No annual regulatory maintenance. Precise regulation. Works everywhere.
Electric disadvantages: Operating cost 2 to 2.5 times higher than gas. Electricity: 18-20 cts/kWh vs gas: 8-10 cts/kWh. Over 150 days (8h/day), a 30 kW air heater costs €6,500-€7,200 in electricity versus €2,900-€3,600 in gas.
Decision rule: Area <400 m² or occasional use = electric. Area >500 m² or intensive use = gas essential.
Professional applications
Mechanical workshops and garages of 150-400 m² use 9 to 18 kW air heaters. Rapid morning heating, clean heat without condensation. Small warehouses of 300-700 m² install 18 to 30 kW models to maintain +5 to +15°C. Tertiary premises and technical spaces favor electric for total absence of emissions.
